Job Title: IT Manager
Location: Delhi/NCR (Must be comfortable with Pan India travel, including Bihar)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to oversee and manage our IT infrastructure and networking operations across multiple locations in India, including our examination centers in Bihar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in IT networking, hardware, and infrastructure, with the ability to manage assets and ensure smooth IT operations nationwide.
Role & responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Readiness
- Ensure all systems (desktops/laptops, LAN/WAN, biometric devices, CCTV, printers, servers, etc.) are installed, tested, and operational prior to exam day.
- Conduct mock runs and dry runs to validate readiness and software compatibility.
2. Exam Day IT Operations
- Manage live IT support during exam windows including candidate login, system health, and network uptime.
- Troubleshoot real-time issues related to system crashes, biometric failures, printing delays, etc.
- Coordinate with central tech support/NOC for escalation and resolution.
3. Network & Data Security
- Ensure secure network setup as per client guidelines (e.g., TCS iON, NTA).
- Prevent unauthorized access or data leakage; manage firewall/router configuration.
- Maintain logs and records as per compliance requirements.
4. Team & Vendor Coordination
- Supervise IT support staff, ensuring responsibilities are clearly assigned and executed.
- Coordinate with internet providers, hardware vendors, and biometric teams for timely setup and maintenance.
5. Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets issued to and returned from centers.
- Track inventory of critical items such as cartridges, cables, biometric kits, backup systems, etc.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to exam authority IT guidelines, protocols, and documentation standards.
- Submit daily checklists, issue logs, incident reports, and handover documentation.
7. Post-Exam Responsibilities
- Ensure safe shutdown and dismantling of IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate data backup, retrieval, and submission to client or central repository.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for major IT issues faced during exam sessions.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years in IT infrastructure and networking roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Switch & Router configuration
- Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)
- CCTV systems configuration
- Network cabling & layout planning
- Hardware installation & troubleshooting
- Experience in asset management and large-scale IT operations.
- Good understanding of IT security protocols and disaster recovery.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Pan India, especially to examination centers in Bihar.
- Excellent problem-solving, vendor management, and communication skills.
Work Mode:
- Primarily Delhi/NCR based, but frequent travel to project locations is required.
