Instrumentation & Control - Senior Engineer @ Larsen & Toubro

Job Description

Job Profile:

1. Mathematical modelling, Design and development of controllers for different types of electro-mechanical/hydraulic systems used in Defence, e.g. missile launcher, rocket launcher, ship stabilizer, antenna controller
2. Stability Study and simulation of controllers
3. Algorithm development like Filter design, Kalman filtering, Command shaping, Autopilot, target prediction etc.
4. Control Software Implementation, Testing and Tuning in system
5. Job involves visits to sites for system installation & trials

Mandatory Skill :

1. Hands on knowledge on Mathematical Modeling of mechanical systems and controller (PID or equivalent) Design
2. Hands on experience in MATLAB/SIMULINK or similar
3. Working Knowledge of C/C++
4. Knowledge of electrical components like motors, encoders, servo amplifiers etc.

Desirable skills:

1. Concept of RTOS(Real Time Operating System)
2. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
3. Hands on experience on Hardware in Loop Test
