Must-have skills

• Hands-on with GitHub Actions (composite actions, reusable workflows, environments, OIDC), and prior AWS devops pipelines (for migration).
• Docker image build & hardening; multi-stage builds; SBOM generation.
• Kubernetes administration (ingress, HPA, RBAC, NetworkPolicies) and packaging with Helm.
• Terraform (modules, workspaces, state mgmt, policy-as-code basics).
• Observability with Prometheus (recording rules, alerts) and Grafana (dashboards, alerting); basic tracing concepts.
• CI security: dependency/image/IaC scanning; secrets management; signing and provenance.
• Git fundamentals: branch protections, trunk/PR workflows, code review best practices.

Nice-to-have

• Service mesh, Canary/Argo Rollouts; Testcontainers/WireMock in CI; OPA/Conftest; OpenTelemetry; cost monitoring; Azure/AWS cloud ops.
• Payments/fintech exposure (secure data handling, audit logging, ISO 20022-aware test data).
• Experience using GitHub Copilot effectively (prompt patterns, code review with AI, policy guardrails).
