Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive the infrastructure design, deployment, and management of complex cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in leveraging GCP's capabilities to support scalable, reliable, and secure systems that empower our data mesh architecture initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment tailored to the needs of the organization
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach on GCP
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud deployments using GitHub Actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure and operational requirements aligned with scalability and security objectives
- Ensure the reliability and performance of systems by implementing best practices for cloud architecture and DevOps
- Maintain technical documentation for GCP setups, workflows, and deployment processes
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks in the GCP platform
- Evaluate and implement security measures across the GCP environment to safeguard data and applications
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience working in cloud infrastructure, with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including compute, storage, networking, and security
- Background in designing and implementing GCP cloud infrastructure for large-scale projects
- Expertise in DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Competency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and automation using scripting or other tools
- Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- Understanding of cloud-native security principles and implementation strategies within GCP environments
