Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead and oversee critical talent and resource management initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in supply chain principles, be eager to learn technologies related to Java and cloud, and have proven experience in managing operational excellence, staffing, and improving staffing velocity for the practice.
The role requires at least 8+ years of experience in the tech industry as a Project or Product Manager, with a minimum of 3-4 years in an operational role. The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in resource planning, demand categorization, and fostering collaboration between teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, understand, and categorize project demands into various skill buckets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate and differentiate between "must-have" and "good-to-have" skills for each demand
- Implement and standardize best-in-class supply chain processesacross engagements to improve delivery efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure consistent service quality
- Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)and drive data-backed improvements in pool management, and procurement to optimize cost and service levels
- Assess the availability of the required skills within the current resource pool
- Decide whether demand can be fulfilled internally or requires additional hiring efforts
- Provide recommendations on ideal bench requirements, maintaining optimal bench levels to meet anticipated future demands
- Gather associate feedback and address resource-related concerns
- Engage with Practice Leads and Delivery Managers to track progress on resource fulfilment and ensure commitments are met in the system
- Act as a liaison between business, technical leaders, and HR teams to ensure alignment on talent acquisition and allocation strategies
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for successful project outcomes
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to foster alignment and resolve conflicts
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within the practice
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the tech or related industry
- At least 3-4 years of experience in a managerial or equivalent leadership role
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Understanding of Java and cloud technologies
- Ability to conceptualize AI use cases for operational excellence
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Negotiation skills to optimize project demands and resource planning
- Proactiveness, orientation to detail, and focus on delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
