Job Description
Role Overview: Technical Healthcare Business Analyst
As a Technical Healthcare Business Analyst supporting the Client initiative, you will act as the strategic bridge between clinical operations, planning systems, and cross teams. Your role involves translating healthcare business needs into business/functional and technical specifications, driving API-based integrations, and ensuring data integrity across planning workflows. Youll support release readiness, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement in a regulated healthcare environment.
Core Skills & Competencies
Business Analysis & Process Modeling
- Backlog management, user story creation, acceptance criteria creation
- Functional and non-functional specification documentation
- Requirements elicitation, gap analysis, and stakeholder interviews
- Cross-functional dependency tracking
- Process mapping using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), swimlanes, and use case diagrams
Data & Technical Fluency
- Experience with healthcare data sets: EMR, patient outcomes
- ETL workflows, data mapping, and data governance practices
API & Integration Skills
- RESTful and SOAP API design and testing
- JSON/XML payload validation using Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia
- FHIR-based data exchange and HL7 interface understanding
- API documentation (ICDs), versioning, and vendor coordination
Planning Tools & Platforms
- Jira, Confluence, Visio for documentation and collaboration
- Tableau/Power BI for KPI dashboards and executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Planning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements for DH Admin and digital platform enhancements
- Conduct gap analysis on current planning workflows and recommend system improvements
- Translate clinical and operational needs into functional and technical specifications and user stories
API-Driven Integration
- Define and document API specs for integration between digital platform and healthcare systems
- Validate API endpoints and payloads to ensure accurate data exchange
- Map business logic to API workflows for patient volumes, inventory forecasting, and treatment planning
- Coordinate with developers and vendors for API onboarding and troubleshooting
Data & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all data interactions comply with HIPAA, FHIR, and internal governance standards
- Support ETL processes and maintain data mapping documentation
- Monitor data quality and system performance across planning modules
Testing, Release & Reporting
- Lead UAT planning, execution, and defect triage with traceability to healthcare use cases
- Prepare Go/No-Go reports, stage gate summaries, and stakeholder updates
- Develop dashboards to track planner adoption, forecast accuracy, and clinical alignment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or Healthcare Administration
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and integration protocols
- Proficiency in API testing tools, and executive-ready documentation
Must Have skill: BA, SQL, API, Technical Documentation
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Location: Chennai/Pune/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Mumbai
