Job Description
We are looking for an experienced DB Support Engineer with 6 9 years of experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, code quality, and optimization techniques. This role will focus on database support, query optimization, and ensuring high-performance and scalable database solutions.
II. Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide database support for production and non-production environments.
- Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance improvements.
- Conduct performance tuning, query analysis, and troubleshooting of database-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain high code quality.
- Collaborate with development teams for design reviews and provide database-related recommendations.
- Prepare and execute Unit Tests (UTs) to ensure stability of delivered code.
- Monitor database performance and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Document best practices and maintain database-related runbooks.
6 9 years of experience in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and database support.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional): - Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Oracle certifications (OCP/OCA) preferred.
Must Have:
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Proven experience in SQL performance tuning and PL/SQL optimization techniques .
- High-level understanding of Oracle Architecture .
- Experience with design, unit testing (UTs), and code quality reviews .
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines .
