Database Engineer @ Fluentgrid

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining databases to support our business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in database management systems, performance tuning, and data security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  
• Optimize queries and database performance for large-scale applications
  
• Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  
• Ensure database security, integrity, and availability
  
• Work closely with development teams to design efficient database structures
  
• Monitor database performance and proactively resolve issues
  
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Database Engineer / Database Administrator
  
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  
• Experience in stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and query optimization
  
• Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP) will be an added advantage
  
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
