Key Responsibilities
- Trend Forecasting & Product Development: Researching and predicting fashion trends to
inform product selection and development, ensuring the company offers appealing items to
the target audience.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, managing inventory, and deciding the
number and types of items to purchase to meet demand while staying within budget.
- Sales & Financial Analysis: Analyzing past sales data, assessing competitor performance, and
understanding consumer behavior to guide purchasing decisions and set competitive pricing.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors to
ensure the timely and efficient production and delivery of merchandise.
- Brand Promotion & Visual Merchandising: Creating and implementing marketing campaigns
and designing attractive product displays to promote brands and attract customers.
- Collaboration: Working closely with designers, buyers, and other teams to align on
merchandise strategies and ensure product goals are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, understand market trends, and interpret
financial information.
Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of the fashion market and what drives
customer purchases.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to build
relationships with diverse stakeholders and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Creativity: A flair for design and a keen eye for aesthetics to create appealing merchandise
and displays.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in tools like Excel for data analysis and presentation.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, handle budgets, and coordinate
complex workflows.
