Job Description
- The Integration Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing integrations within the corporate ecosystem, using MuleSoft as the core platform and complementing it with modern frameworks, technologies, and tools.
- This is a technical, hands-on role focused on implementing integration scenarios that combine APIs, microservices, SOA patterns, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices.
- The role ensures that integrations are delivered with quality, security, scalability, and in compliance with architectural and regulatory guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- API development under the API-led Connectivity approach in Mule 4 (System, Process, Experience).
- Advanced use of DataWeave, RAML, XSD, and JSON Schema for data transformation and validation.
- Design and documentation of API contracts with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
- Microservices development with Spring Boot, Spring Integration, .NET Core, and Quarkus.
- Application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
- Knowledge of SOA, REST, and SOAP for hybrid integrations with legacy and SaaS systems.
- Use of messaging queues and buses: Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, Event Mesh.
- Security Skills
- API security implementation with OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Auth, certificates, and TLS.
- Integration with identity systems: Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure B2C, LDAP, SAML.
- Application of OWASP API Security Top 10 guidelines and hardening best practices.
- Data encryption and protection in transit and at rest (TLS, AES, hashing).
- DevOps and Quality Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins for integrations.
- Test automation with MUnit, Postman, Newman, integrated into pipelines.
- Monitoring and observability with Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Application of DevSecOps practices: code, dependency, and container scanning (Snyk, SonarQube).
- Methodologies and Frameworks Skills
- Experience working in agile teams (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) with continuous integration.
- Application of SOA and event-driven integration patterns, enabling orchestration and choreography.
- Design of complex transformations and validations with Spring Integration and MuleSoft.
- Documentation and publishing of APIs in Anypoint Exchange, following reuse standards.
- Collaboration Skills
- Close collaboration with the Technical Leader to comply with design and quality guidelines.
- Coordinated work with Integration and Security Architects to ensure secure and governed integrations.
- Interaction with DevOps to guarantee standardized and monitorable deployments.
- Effective communication within the development cell for issue resolution and continuous improvement.
