Job Title: Python Developer Data Extraction & Automation

Role Type: Hybrid
Location: Bengaluru (Bangalore)
Experience: 3+ years

Shift Timings: 6am to 3pm and 2pm to 11pm

About the Role

We are looking for a Python Developer with strong programming fundamentals to build and maintain automated tools for large-scale data extraction. You will design scrapers, work with APIs, transform raw data into usable formats, and ensure high reliability of our data pipelines. Your work will directly enable data-driven decisions by delivering accurate, clean, and consistent data at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated data extraction and web scraping tools using Python.
• Extract structured and unstructured data from websites, APIs, and online sources.
• Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats (CSV, JSON, SQL databases).
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness through validation and error handling.
• Monitor scrapers for performance and quickly adapt to site/API changes.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product teams to meet business data requirements.
• Document code, processes, and maintain repositories (GitHub/GitLab).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Python programming fundamentals (data structures, OOP, error handling, code optimization).
• Hands-on experience with web scraping libraries and frameworks (Requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright).
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable Python code.
• Solid understanding of APIs (REST, JSON, XML) and HTTP protocols.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and efficient query writing.
• Proficiency in working with common data formats (CSV, JSON, Parquet).
• Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless scraping.
• Familiarity with ETL workflows and data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Luigi).
• Knowledge of regular expressions, data normalization, and data quality checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
