Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Quality Engineer (4+ years of experience) to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will design and implement robust testing strategies, automation frameworks, and quality practices to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. You will work across frontend, backend, and cloud-based applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for frontend and backend components.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium (UI) and REST Assured (API).
- Perform manual, automated, and performance testing (using JMeter) to ensure comprehensive coverage and system reliability.
- Conduct testing in cloud-based environments (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality assurance.
- Contribute to continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Git, and ensure seamless integration of automated testing.
- Review, debug, and enhance automation scripts, while adhering to coding best practices.
- Apply knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Drive defect management and ensure clear reporting and tracking of issues throughout the lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of enterprise application testing (manual & automation)
- Strong expertise in manual and automated testing across frontend and backend layers.
- Proficiency in Selenium, REST Assured, and JMeter.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Proficient in Java with good understanding of OOP principles and coding standards.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools.
- Practical exposure to Agile software testing and engineering concepts.
- Understanding of testing middle-tier and service-oriented architectures.
