Job Description
OverviewWe're seeking an experienced SD-WAN Service Assurance Engineer (Tier 1/2/3) to drive operational excellence in global network environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting of complex SD-WAN and SASE solutions, while serving as a technical lead and escalation point across multiple technologies and transport layers.
Responsibilities- Lead advanced troubleshooting across SD-WAN platforms including Cisco SD-WAN, Versa, Fortinet, and Velocloud.
- Architect, deploy, and optimize SASE and SD-WAN solutions in greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Manage network operations with strong proficiency in LAN/WAN topologies and Layer 13 resolution using Cisco routers, switches, and WLC.
- Configure and diagnose advanced routing protocols: BGP, EBGP, iBGP, OSPF, Static, and EIGRP.
- Ensure service assurance across underlay transports including MPLS, ADI, LTE, and DWDM.
- Collaborate in bridge calls, drive vendor/service provider escalations, and maintain proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Execute change management, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver consistent service improvements.
- Mentor junior team members and foster alignment across internal stakeholders and client teams.
- Participate in rotational on-call duties, including holiday and weekend coverage, with ownership of SLA and response timelines.
- Proven experience in global network operations, preferably Tier 2/3 support roles.
- Strong knowledge in underlay transport technologies such as MPLS, ADI, LTE, with desirable experience in DWDM, Juniper, and Ericsson.
- Hands-on experience with deploying and managing both greenfield and brownfield SD-WAN/SASE environments.
- Expertise in network protocols and security infrastructure.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator with strong customer-facing skills.
- Accurate documentation practices and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Self-motivated, adaptable to shift work (day/night), and willing to support overtime when needed.
- CCNA or CCNP (or equivalent) strongly desired.
