Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on knowledge of Java, Selenium, REST-Assured, and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software quality assurance and testing practices, along with the ability to write functional tests and work independently. As a QA Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring high-quality product delivery and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and REST-Assured.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, focusing on REST APIs, JSON, and related technologies.
- Write detailed functional test cases and perform functional testing to ensure software works as intended.
- Identify, document, and track defects through the entire testing lifecycle, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and contribute to the overall testing strategy.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure that new features do not break existing functionality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools to optimize the quality assurance lifecycle.
- Independently manage testing efforts for multiple projects and releases with minimal supervision.
- Participate in team meetings, providing feedback, progress updates, and solutions to challenges encountered during testing.
Must-Have Skills:
- Java Strong proficiency.
- Selenium Expertise in automation testing.
- REST-Assured Expertise in API testing and automation.
- REST APIs Strong knowledge of RESTful services.
- Postman Proficiency in API testing using Postman.
- Functional Test Writing Ability to create and write comprehensive functional test cases.
- Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Cucumber Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Banking Experience Familiarity with business banking or retail banking systems and processes is a plus.
- Ability to Independently Work Comfortable working with minimal supervision, taking ownership of testing tasks from start to finish.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in agile environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
