Job Description
- As an AI Engineer at Cognizant working with the CAIL/ Evolutionary AI team (LEAF), you will join a rapidly growing consulting and IT services Fortune 500 company with a flexible international business environment. Your role will involve collaborating with institutions, academia, and technology partners to develop groundbreaking AI solutions responsibly. The mission of the AI Labs is to maximize human potential with decision AI by utilizing multi-agent architectures, generative AI, deep learning, evolutionary AI, and trustworthy techniques to create sophisticated decision-making systems. Your responsibilities will include being a customer advocate for implementing Neuro AI offerings, designing and implementing advanced AI models focusing on generative AI, agents, and foundation models for enterprises. You will build and maintain AI pipelines, experimentation frameworks, and reusable components for rapid prototyping and scaling. Additionally, you will experiment with multi-agent systems framework to create context-aware, goal-driven agents integrated into workflows. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to conceptualize and develop AI-based solutions and demos, contributing to research publications, engaging in open-source communities, and preparing internal technical documents and presentations are also part of your role. Working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with your peers on the Cognizant AI Labs team is essential. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related Engineering field with a focus on AI/EA, software development, and algorithm design. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an AI/ML engineering role in an enterprise, research, or innovation lab setting is preferred. Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience in AI frameworks like LangChain, HuggingFace, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc., are required. You should have a solid understanding of AI agent frameworks, strong interest in agentic AI research, and the ability to work autonomously on projects involving small and large teams. Experience in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and familiarity with relational, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data systems are also necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with RESTful services, JSON, XML metadata, Docker containers, machine learning, evolutionary algorithms, open-source projects, design patterns, enterprise architecture patterns, and research publications. Furthermore, experience in IT services, consulting, client-facing roles, familiarity with cloud platforms, and enterprise AI solution deployment are highly desirable. Continuous learning, passion for R&D, and a long-term mindset are also valued qualities for this role.,
