You will be a self-motivated service engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to solve customers problems, providing service, repairs, overhauling and commissioning of our wide range solutions. You will take pride in your work, ensuring any assigned service job is completed to the customers satisfaction first time, every time. You will have strong technical capabilities, the ability to work under pressure and a calm and positive attitude. You will be a collaborative team player, sharing lessons learned with the team, committed to continuous improvement, achieving and maintaining service excellence at all times.

As after-sales service is crucial to ensuring customers are loyal to the Emerson brand, this front-line role is critical to growing our business. You will report directly to the Sales Manager Marine- India, for admin purposes , and functionally will report into the Service Leader Dubai.

Job Responsibilities

Ensuring you are fully prepared for the service call prior to attending the client site, including ensuring spares are available
Perform onboard service and onsite commissioning within the region and worldwide.
Participate in the testing, calibration and verification of system setup of Emerson products and supplies of Marine systems.
Understanding the customer requirement fully in order to provide an efficient and optimum solution
Ensuring service reports are completed and signed in all respects, prior to submission
Provide comprehensive remote support to customers to ensure their continuing loyalty
Setting up, installing, configuring and maintaining simulation/demo tools or systems in the workshop/office as required
Carrying out On the Job Training when possible, for the rest of the team to share knowledge and experience
Maintaining the condition and certification of tools
Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emersons Company Policy and Procedures
Be prepared to travel up to 80% of your time across the Indian Sub-Continent, Middle East & African region

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years experience

Preferred Qualifications

Electrical/Electronic, Marine or Instrumentation

Marine automation experience as service engineer

Ability to work under pressure and handle time-sensitive tasks
