We are looking for a highly skilled PHP Team Lead with expertise in modern PHP frameworks (Symfony preferred), and cloud-native environments. This role requires strong leadership, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, high-performance applications while leading a distributed team across US time zones.
Key Responsibilities :-
- Expert in PHP frameworks development, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Implement applications using framework, PHP, and Symfony (or equivalent frameworks).
- Oversee the deployment and scaling of applications using AWS, OpenShift/Red Hat and Kubernetes.
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with US teams, proactively addressing technical challenges and ensuring smooth coordination.
- Participate in Agile development processes to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects from conceptualization, technology mapping, to execution.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive engineering excellence.
- Monitor and report project progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries for data-intensive operations.
- Ensure seamless system integrations and application performance tuning.
- Work in alignment with US hours to effectively coordinate with stakeholders.
Required Skills :-
- Core Expertise: PHP, Symfony (or similar PHP frameworks).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Backbonejs and ReactJS, XML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS & JSON.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms AWS (EKS), OpenShift/Red Hat, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Strong understanding of third-party web services, APIs, and integrations.
- Strong SQL/MySQL skills with ability to manage complex queries and large datasets.
- Knowledge of Python scripting for automation and backend integrations.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for global team collaboration.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills with a track record of leading technical teams.
Desired Candidate Profile :-
- Masters degree (B Tech)/MCA
- Min 9-11 years of experience in PHP
- Strong programming skills
- Good aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Must have contributed to code review process
- Good communication skills for coordinating across geographically distributed teams
- Strong team player with leadership qualities
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of LLM and Generative AI tools
- Understanding of cloud and cloud native technologies
