Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Oversee patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes in the OPD.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely consultations and treatments.
- Manage and resolve patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain high patient satisfaction.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of outpatient visits, including medical forms, test orders, and billing information.
- Collaborate with departments such as billing, pharmacy, and laboratory to streamline patient care and services.
- Monitor OPD performance metrics such as patient wait times, appointment adherence, and service quality.
- Assist in resource planning including staffing schedules, equipment availability, and facility readiness.
- Train and supervise OPD support staff and front desk personnel.
- Implement and enforce hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations in the OPD.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to clarify treatment plans and follow-ups.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists or other departments when necessary.
- Support data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks related to OPD operations.
