Role & responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate outpatient and inpatient cardiology appointments, diagnostic tests (ECG, Echocardiogram, Stress Test, Holter monitoring, etc.), and procedures.
  
• Facilitate communication between cardiologists, patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers.
  
• Assist patients in understanding their cardiac condition, treatment plans, and follow-up requirements.
  
• Manage patient referrals to cardiology specialists and coordinate with other departments such as radiology, pharmacy, and rehabilitation.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations.
  
• Monitor patient progress and communicate any concerns or changes to the cardiology team promptly.
  
• Handle insurance authorization, billing coordination, and support financial counseling related to cardiac care.
  
• Prepare reports on cardiology department activities, patient outcomes, and service quality indicators.
  
• Oversee administrative tasks such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and resource allocation within the cardiology department.
