Job Description
- Good exposure to Indian tax laws and regulations, particularly GST laws in India.
- Good presentation, listening, and execution skills
- Strong technical skills with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Exposure to handling tax compliances and audit
- Qualified chartered accountants with 2 to 4 years of experience preferably from a Big4 firm
- Exposure to Willingness to learn corporate tax and provide support in related compliances and audit
- Hands-on experience in India GST compliance, including filings, reconciliations and audit
- Ensuring timely filing of the GST returns and payment of taxes
- Peruse and understand the notices issued by tax authorities, collate the necessary data/information, and support the audit process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and validate information required for compliance and audits
- Liaise with external consultants for audits, assessments, and other compliance-related activities on need basis
- Preparation of submission and representations before tax authorities
- Drive standardization of tax processes including preparation of SoPs, process flow, work instructions, and ensuring audit preparedness
