Job Description
Your Impact:
As Senior Cloud Application Engineer, you will join a global team, where youll have the opportunity to learn, grow and mentor other team members. You will be actively engaged with Product Management, Product Engineering, and others across the CloudOps Delivery team. You will bring your ideas and knowledge to continue to improve and make our cloud deployments more resilient. responsible for the technical delivery of the OpenText Media Management solutions.
Engagements may vary from managing multiple short and relatively fast paced engagements, to larger projects depending upon levels of experience. The nature of work may include full application lifecycle activities right from development, deployment/provisioning, testing, migration, decommissioning and ongoing run & maintain (upgrades, patching etc.) support of the cloud deployments. Position Requires hands on experience with OpenText Media Management solutions, Kubernetes. Open to work in shifts and on call when required.
What the Role offers:
- Participate and contribute to technical design & deployment activities.
- Participate in planning and execution of new implementations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Participate in the advanced configuration of OpenText Media Management software components, in line with project and customer time scales.
- To co-ordinate project delivery through multiple teams that may include 3rd party suppliers, partners, and client resources.
- Actively contribute to automate provisioning, patching, and upgrade activities where possible to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Able to build and deploy applications to cloud infrastructure
- Understand requirements, conduct detailed design, determine level of effort, plan work breakdown structures and implementation approach.
What you need to succeed at:
- BE/B. Tech. or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum 5 -10 years of relevant experience
- Well versed with deployment, administration and troubleshooting of the OpenText Products Like Media management, Appworks Platform, iHUB, OTDS, DAM
- Experience delivering service using ITIL methodology
- Knowledge of Windows, UNIX.
- Familiarity with configuration and management of web/application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, TomEE, etc.).
- Experience with scripting (Shell, Python etc.,)
- Strong understanding of cloud native and container based distributed systems like Kubernetes.
