Responsible for supporting the strategic data initiatives that drive business profitability, insight, increased efficiencies and improved customer experience. The ideal candidate would be able to apply consultative skills and technical expertise to business challenges and develop visualizations built upon a variety of technologies and data sources. They will identify, design, and execute visualization approaches and visually articulate cohesive analysis results. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Expectations:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders and understand key business priorities and challenges to design the right actionable data and analytics solution to address needs.
2. Communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.
3. Analyze and interpret large and complex data sets to assist stakeholders throughout the organization distill insights; connect disparate insights into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations.
4. Assist stakeholders in presenting data findings and insights across most levels of leadership in a compelling way that facilitates discussion and lead to decisions.
5. Program and write maintainable and well-documented scripts/applications for process automation.
6. Leverage analytical skills to develop automated solutions that help FHLBank improve business operations.
7. Able to translate business requirements and design data models to convert raw data into meaningful insights.
8. To gather requirements, define, design, develop, and deploy reporting/dashboard solutions for business analysis.
9. Socialize the importance of data governance and ethics and ensure consistency around data quality through process improvements.
10. Work closely with Information Technology Business Technology teams to maintain technologies, manage code within repositories, maintain appropriate documentation of solutions, perform testing to ensure accuracy of results, maintain governance processes, and continuously mature processes to align with industry best practices.
11. Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds to proactively evaluate data from wide variety of sources, make predictions, and identify potential business opportunities.
12. Continuous commitment to education and awareness of industry best practice solutions for data analysis and automation.
13. Protect business records created or used in business processes to ensure availability, confidentiality, integrity; and the retention and destruction as specified by relevant policies.
14. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to solve problems, memory for details, ability to prioritize, and ability to maintain concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods.

Provides reporting to the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI), as needed, as well as partners with OMWI to implement effective policies and procedures that incorporate DEI into business activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Five plus years of similar or related professional experience.
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or a data science related field.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills:
1. Five + years of experience transforming and analyzing data from multiple sources to drive business insights.
2. Five + years of with advanced data visualization and data modeling experience using such technologies as Power BI, Power Query, APIs, DAX queries, functions, filters, graphs and MDX.
3. Advanced skills in creating Graphs, Filters, Functions, parameters, and data models are some of them but all.
4. Working knowledge and experience with Azure technical stack (e.g., Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Python) is preferred.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
