Job Description
- As a Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) specializing in the Tandoor section, you play a crucial role in Indian kitchens, particularly in establishments offering traditional tandoori cuisine. Your responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and cooking of dishes using a tandoor oven, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. - Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meats, breads, and vegetables, using traditional tandoor techniques. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards. - Station Management: Oversee the daily operations of the tandoor section, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. - Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in inventory management and ordering as needed. - Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members. - Quality Assurance: Regularly check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure they meet the establishment's standards. - Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area. Qualifications & Skills: - Experience: Minimum of 13 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year specializing in tandoor cooking. - Education: A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts - Skills: Proficiency in tandoor cooking techniques, knowledge of Indian spices and marinades, and strong organizational skills.
