Role Purpose
Design management and design development of commercial buildings and student housing projects.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: - Spearhead the architectural design process for commercial real estate projects from concept to completion, ensuring seamless alignment between design intent, construction execution, and strategic project objectives.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: - Facilitate seamless coordination of architectural drawings and data with other disciplines (structure, MEP, landscape, liaison, interiors, etc.).
- Design Validation: - Facilitate the team's review for validation of the drawings and data shared by the external consultants related to design during various stages (from design development to the construction stage).
- Innovative Design Solutions: - Create innovative and aesthetically astute architectural designs that are functional, sustainable, and cost-effective. Incorporate sustainable design principles wherever applicable.
- Timeline & Budget: - Ensuring timely delivery of drawing by the external consultants within the estimated budget. Manage project budgets and expenses, making recommendations for cost-effective design solutions and materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: -Maintain transparent communication with investors, contractors, and internal teams. Prepare high impact presentations, reports, and briefs to support decision making.
- Site Supervision: - Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure that construction comply with approved designs and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure that all architectural designs and construction plans adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Present the project to local authorities when in need.
- Documentation Management: - Systematically record all drawings and data exchanged between the team and external agencies.
Educational Background & Desired Experience
- Masters/bachelors degree in architecture.
- Ideal candidate will have proven 12-15 years of experience in commercial real estate architecture.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch UP, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles.
- Proficiency in using MIS and reporting tools.
