Designation: Junior Consultant /Associate Consultant
Reporting to: Cardiologist
Location: Shivamogga
Experience: 0-3 Years
Qualification: MBBS/MD/DNB/DM/(Cardiology)

Job Purpose:
To treat patients referred to Critical Care Units including pre and post-operative care for patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clinical Responsibility: 1. Perform and document history & physical examination
2. Formulate differential diagnosis
3. Develops and documents initial plan of care*
4. Modifies daily plan of care*
5. Writes daily progress notes
6. Obtain and document informed consent
7. Order appropriate referrals*
8. Order appropriate investigations*
9. Perform & interpret echo cardiography
10. Interpret ECG
11. Conduct OPD in the absence of Cardiologist
12. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*
13. Interpret laboratory & radiology results*
14. Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*
15. Order appropriate medication and other orders
16. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
- Administrative: 1. Perform cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation
- Clinical Invasive Management:
1. Inserts central venous catheter*
2. Assist cardiologist in Cath lab procedures
3. Independently perform Cath lab procedures under supervision
4. All invasive procedures to be done under supervision
5. Performs oral endotracheal intubation
6. Performs nasogastric intubation
7. Inserts invasive lines for monitoring*
Candidate Requirements: 1. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work independently and in a team environment.
2. Professional oral and written communication skills; must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as communicate with tact, diplomacy, and a high level of cultural sensitivity
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
5. Good planning and organizational skills
6. Professional appearance and manner
