Job Description

Job Opportunity: Medical Transcriptionist

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage discharge files
• Collect discharges from wards
• Arrange and maintain files in the Medical Record room
• Issue path reports, radiology reports, cath lab reports, cardiology reports, and X-ray reports
• Issue discharge, fitness, expenditure, and railway reservation concession certificates
• Issue mediclaim forms
• Maintain IP-expired files and IP-MLC files
• Handle queries related to medical records of patients
• Hand over case papers to patients and complete necessary formalities
• Maintain and issue books for the library
• Maintain statistics (e.g., admissions, discharges, deaths, occupancy, etc.)
• Coordinate with government agencies for birth and death certificates
• Conduct monthly random audits to check the completion of medical records
• Provide on-the-job training
• Prepare SOPs for the department
