Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Stenographer Typist/Sonography Assistant to join our Radiology & Imaging department as an Associate. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our sonography services. The ideal candidate must possess excellent typing speed and a keen eye for detail to transcribe reports accurately and quickly. They will also be responsible for assisting radiologists and sonographers with administrative tasks, patient management, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the department.
Roles and Responsibilities

Stenography and Typing:

Accurately transcribe and type sonography reports and physician notes from dictation in a timely manner.

Maintain a high level of typing speed and accuracy to keep up with the department's reporting needs.

Organize and file patient reports and records, ensuring all documentation is complete and easily accessible.

Patient and Staff Support:

Prepare the sonography room and equipment for patient examinations.

Assist in patient flow, including preparing patients for their scans and guiding them through the process.

Serve as a liaison between the medical staff and patients, ensuring clear communication and addressing patient queries.

Administrative Duties:

Manage appointment scheduling and patient registration for sonography services.

Handle calls and correspondence related to the department.

Ensure the department's supplies are well-stocked and the work area is organized.
