Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop new products as per new pipeline identified through brainstorming & other ideation tools and techniques.
- Identify and implement the cost optimization through alternative / substitute raw materials and strategic source development in close collaboration with cross functional departments. Cost optimization by reformulation.
- Provide technical support for successful implementation and transfer of newly developed products. Resolve product quality related issues.
- Set up QC specifications of newly developed products & co-ordinate with the production team for proper manufacturing.
- Visit plants / sites for product testing and trials at lab and industrial scales.
- Update, maintain and evolve calibration data for all laboratory equipment as per laboratory calibration plan and all NABL related activities and audits.
- Taking part in new/alternate vendor development for the enhancement of product quality and cost reduction
- Troubleshooting support the technical, QC and operations team as and when required.
- Be proactive in identifying safety hazards and implement corrective actions. Responsible for internal EHS activities and audit requirements.
- Train and guide cement laboratory technicians on all test procedures in accordance with acceptable and established test methods.
- Develop methods and techniques to continually improve quality and consistency of results
- To keep up to date with the state of art and implement the learnings in the field of cement, concrete and building materials by studying the scientific, technical and patent literature.
- To drive sustainability related projects to reduce CO2 emission and achieve annual targets for the organization by working on promising low carbon Cements, alternate raw materials.
- Ph.D. & 5 years Relevant experience from reputed organization or MSc/MTech with 8+ years Relevant experience from reputed organization.
- Experience in Cement manufacturing, Chemistry, Concrete Testing, Materials Characterization, Building Materials.
