Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Healthcare Quality Measure and Reporting software.
- Analyze and tune performance of stored procedures.
- Analyze business requirements and specifications to determine an optimal
development strategy and timeline.
- Participate in Industry Certification activities, particularly annual NCQA HEDIS
certification.
- Provide Quality Measures assistance to Customer Support and Project
Management.
- Provide development assistance to DevOps and QA in cases of job failures or
errors.
- Deploy Healthcare Quality Measure Software.
- Attend Agile meetings (Daily scrum meeting/Sprint planning/Backlog refinement) on
assigned project.
Preferred candidate profile
- 36 years of experience in data engineering or data warehouse development, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake-specific features (e.g., Virtual Warehouses, Time Travel, Streams, Tasks).
- Expert-level SQL programming with a focus on complex query writing and stored procedure development.
- Proven experience in query and performance optimization within Snowflake or similar MPP databases.
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integrating with Snowflake.
- Proficiency in Python or SQL scripting for automation and data transformation is preferred.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
