Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, verify, and maintain optical networks using Ciena equipment such as 6500, 3800, and 6200 platforms.
- Perform capacity upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, retrofitting, calibration, and verification of DWDM systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data center deployments and PoPs (Points of Presence) installations.
- Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure through successful BERT testing and optimization processes.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to optical networking components and resolve them efficiently.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 4-9 years of experience in Optical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of DWDM technology and its applications in telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in performing capacity upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, retrofitting, calibration, and verification tasks on various types of optical network devices.
