Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Core DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in managing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security. This role demands deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Pump.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Monitor database health using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other tools.
- Apply patches, perform upgrades, and manage database security.
- Troubleshoot database issues, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for schema design and deployment.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Core DBA.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficient in RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, and Oracle RAC.
- Solid understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Experience with database cloning, refreshes, and migration.
- Knowledge of Oracle licensing, auditing, and compliance.
- Scripting skills (Shell, PL/SQL) for automation and monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with Oracle on cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure).
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
