Location - Pune, Hybrid
*Looking for Notice period of 30 days or less.
Job Summary
This individual contributor is responsible for guiding and influencing the development of a formal Global Quality Services Framework and for supporting the development of software quality assurance test strategies. This position is responsible for designing and maintaining automation framework for web and webservices application types. Provide support with automation across all quality engineering teams.
Essential Responsibilities

- Identifies, defines, and mitigates complex issues, dependencies, and risks related to test automation.
- Understands and recommends technical aspects of the web, webservices and/or mobile application solution architecture, defining and building a comprehensive strategy for web/mobile automation.
- Defines and ensures the test automation standards/guidelines for test automation.
- Leads and assists in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains by analysing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.
- Troubleshoots and debugs webservices & UI apps at the test & app/service layer.
- Defines and ensures adherence with entry and exit criteria according to testing standards.
- Explores tools and processes to meet the growing demands of the testing needs.
- Identifies process improvements to uplift testing standards, processes and capabilities.
- Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.
- Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to gain buy-in and approval of test plans, and tracks quality metrics across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).
- Develops quality assurance (QA) project plans, with guidance from senior team members as appropriate, for moderately to highly complex projects by participating in the identification of project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, and ensuring proper staffing.
- Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum Five (5) years experience in SQA, software testing or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years experience working with automation testing methodologies or Minimum two (2) years experience with automation framework and 1 year experience with technical testing methodologies.
- Five (5) years experience working with Web Services technologies for system or software testing.
- Five (5) years experience working with Python, CI/CD pipeline, GHA/Jenkins/equivalent
- Three (3) years experience working with Selenium, TESTNG or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in software or systems programming and scripting.
- Two (2) years experience working with Oracle, Postgress or any database.
- Minimum one (1) year in an informal lead role working with technical teams.
- Three (3) years experience working with Java programming capabilities.
