Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with deep expertise in UI and API test automation and a strong interest in AI-assisted testing methodologies.
This role involves designing and implementing robust automation frameworks, validating data across layers, and leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor to enhance productivity and test intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI and API automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Develop automated test suites integrating with CI/CD pipelines for seamless release validation.
- Write and maintain clean, efficient automation scripts using JavaScript or Python.
- Apply advanced test design methodologies, ensuring maximum coverage and optimized test execution.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams to resolve defects efficiently.
- Perform data testing and validation activities, including:
- Applying data normalization techniques.
- Validating data contracts and schema consistency.
- Executing SQL queries (intermediate to advanced) for backend data validation.
- Implement Prompt Engineering strategies for AI-augmented automation.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor to optimize code authoring and test automation workflows.
- Implement and utilize MCP (Model Context Protocol) to enhance test context awareness and LLM integrations.
- Optionally experiment with OpenAI APIs and LLM configuration to improve automated testing capabilities.
- Support R&D initiatives for AI Agent-based test orchestration and validation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 58 years of hands-on experience in UI and API automation testing using modern frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured).
- Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for automation scripting.
- Proven experience in:
- Test design methodologies and data-driven testing.
- Data validation, normalization, and SQL-based verification.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Mandatory:
- Prompt Engineering
- Codex / GitHub Copilot / Cursor
- MCP Implementation & Usage
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience integrating OpenAI APIs or configuring LLMs for automated testing and analysis.
- Understanding of LLM fundamentals (prompt tuning, model behavior, embeddings).
- Exposure to AI Agent development and orchestration for automation pipelines.
