Medical Coder @ Access Healthcare

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records for accuracy and completeness.
  
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM codes following CMS HCC coding guidelines.
  
• Understand and adhere to risk adjustment documentation and coding requirements.
  
• Meet assigned productivity and quality benchmarks.
  
• Participate actively in training sessions and assessments.
  
• Collaborate with team leads and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
  
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security policies.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  
• Willingness to learn HCC coding and risk adjustment methodologies.
  
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Basic understanding of ICD-10-CM is a plus.
