Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and technically proficient AI Business Analyst (Smart Practices SME) with 10+ years of experience in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in reinsurance, Lloyds market operations, and a strong ability to work closely with underwriters. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to leverage GitHub Copilot (GHCP) and other AI tools to accelerate the conversion of business requirements into software specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements using GitHub Copilot (GHCP) and other AI tools into actionable software specifications.
- Act as a domain SME in insurance, supporting solutioning for clients by leveraging deep industry knowledge and AI capabilities.
- Work closely with underwriters, claims, and actuarial teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Use AI tools to automate data documentation, lineage mapping, and transformation logic.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure data quality, consistency, and governance.
- Support solution design, prototyping, and validation phases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance and Lloyds market operations.
- Proven experience working directly with underwriters and senior business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted coding, or low-code/no-code platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data lineage, metadata management, and data transformation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with insurance data models, policy administration systems, or claims platforms.
Exposure to Power Platform, Azure DevOps, or AWS AI services.
Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or AI/ML.
