Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in SQL, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and BigQuery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
SQL:
- Write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Maintain and troubleshoot stored procedures, views, and functions.
SSIS:
- Design and develop ETL packages using SSIS.
- Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs and handle failures.
- Integrate data from various sources including flat files, Excel, APIs, and databases.
BigQuery:
- Develop and optimize queries in BigQuery for large-scale datasets.
- Implement data pipelines using GCP services (e.g., Dataflow, Cloud Storage).
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security in BigQuery datasets.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Document data flows, ETL processes, and system architecture.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines for reliability and performance.
