- Hands on experience in APO SNP Optimizer & Deployment is mandatory
- Hands on experience with APO PPDS DSPB and Heuristics is mandatory
Job Description: Summary of Role:
The Engineering & Applications Team is the IT engine that delivers compelling and robust capabilities, products, and solutions to company business and IT by focusing on cost savings, business growth, and connecting with partners and customers. As part of this team, the APO Functional Engineer (FE) will support full-horizon Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning functions, with a primary focus on APO DP (Demand Planning) and related forecasting tools.
Scope:
This is a hands-on role focused on SAP APO DP and associated systems, including both SAP and non-SAP platforms. The FE will be responsible for delivering project and change-related work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in business requirement and discovery sessions with client teams to define Supply and Demand Planning needs.
Collaborate with project teams to refine and document technical requirements.
Configure SAP APO SP and set DP integration based on finalized designs.
Support integration with other systems, including Arete.
Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT.
Support go-live activities and provide Hypercare support.
Document solutions and transition knowledge to support teams.
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Experience:
Supply Planning
8+ years of experience in configuring APO with deep expertise in APO SNP and PPDS
Hands on experience in APO SNP Optimizer & Deployment is mandatory
Hands on experience with APO PPDS DSPB and Heuristics is mandatory
Hands on experience working with user exits in SNP and the CIF is preferred
Hands on expertise handling CIF (Core Interface) configuration and reconciliation management
Demand Planning
4+ years of experience in SAP APO configuration, with deep expertise in APO DP.
Hands-on experience with DP planning books, macros, and statistical forecasting models.
Familiarity with user exits and enhancements in APO DP.
Integration experience with Arete P10 is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HANA modeling or APO integration with HANA is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Ability to work in a cross-cultural, virtual team environment.
Work with clients to identify and document user requirements and testing/acceptance criteria
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload according to project plans.
