Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Design scalable and performant architecture for the Radiology Worklist product.
- Lead the revamp of the UI using Micro Frontend (MFE) architecture with React.
- Integrate new React-based MFE with legacy Angular applications using Material-UI (MUI).
Backend Engineering:
- Enhance and refactor backend services in Node.js to support advanced features like custom user-defined worklists.
- Evaluate and compare AlloyDB vs. PostgreSQL for backend database optimization, especially for analytics-heavy use cases.
- Redesign database schemas to support new functionalities and improve query performance.
Performance & Scalability:
- Develop and implement an intermediate caching layer using Elasticsearch to boost application performance and scalability.
- Ensure the system is optimized for high-volume data processing and real-time responsiveness.
AI & Data Integration:
- Implement Hasura GraphQL hooks to capture AI agent data for future automation features such as auto-next and auto-assign.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers.
- Mentor junior developers and guide technical decisions across the team.
- Drive innovation and advocate for best practices in software engineering and architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in architecting enterprise-grade applications using MERN stack.
- Strong expertise in React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and GraphQL.
- Experience with Material-UI, Angular, and Micro Frontend architecture.
- Deep understanding of database design, performance tuning, and cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Hasura, and AI data integration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare or radiology domain is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
