Job Description
An HDO (Home Delivery Organization) engineer at Airtel is responsible for on-site
technical service delivery, including installation and troubleshooting of services like broadband,
WiFi, and TV. Key responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, managing field
resources, and resolving technical issues for residential customers. The role requires
strong technical knowledge of wireline/broadband technologies, good analytical and
communication skills, and experience handling customer-facing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Installation & Deployment: Install and set up customer premises
equipment (CPE) for broadband, WiFi, and other home services.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues
reported by customers, ensuring service continuity.
- Resource Management: Potentially assist in managing and optimizing field
resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Technical Operations: Monitor and maintain the performance of network and
hardware components in customer homes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wireline/broadband
technologies (e.g., ADSL, VDSL), DSL Customer Premises Equipment (CPE),
TR69, and CATV.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to
effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Customer Focus: A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and excellent
service delivery.
- Teamwork: Experience working in a dynamic environment, potentially with large
teams or in a dotted-matrix structure.
