Lead and manage a team of medical coders specializing in E&M and OP coding.
Ensure coding accuracy, compliance with regulatory guidelines (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and adherence to client-specific requirements.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high coding standards.
Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Collaborate with QA, training, and operations teams to improve coding processes.
Monitor team productivity and ensure timely delivery of coding assignments.
Handle client communications and resolve coding-related queries or escalations.
Stay updated with industry changes, payer guidelines, and coding updates.
Required Qualifications:
Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) AAPC.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in medical coding with at least 2 years in a team lead or assistant manager role.
Specialty Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in E&M and Outpatient coding.
Proficient in coding software and tools (e.g., EncoderPro, Optum360, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications (e.g., CPMA, COC) are a plus.
Experience working with US healthcare clients.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
