Hiring: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Engineer | Contract | Venpa Payroll

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Engineer to design, manage, and optimize our Azure-based Kubernetes infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, Azure networking, and cloud security ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance across environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Manage AKS Infrastructure

• Deploy, configure, and maintain AKS clusters (node pools, scaling, monitoring).

• Optimize performance, cost efficiency, and uptime.

Networking & Connectivity

• Manage Azure VNets, private links, and hybrid cloud connectivity.

• Configure ingress controllers (NGINX, App Gateway) and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).

• Set up VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall for secure multi-cloud connections.

Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure Firewall, NSGs, and WAF rules for workload protection.

• Configure RBAC, Azure AD integration, and Pod Identity.

• Apply Azure Policies and Kubernetes security standards (CIS, OPA/Gatekeeper).

CI/CD & Automation

• Implement GitOps practices using FluxCD, ArgoCD, Terraform, or Bicep.

• Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.

Monitoring & Logging

• Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Troubleshoot using kubectl, Azure CLI, and KQL.

Incident Management

• Support production environments, resolve connectivity/firewall issues, and enhance reliability.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience (with strong focus on AKS)

• Expertise in Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Private Endpoints

• Proficient with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform/Bicep

• CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

• Skilled in Linux, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML

• Familiar with Service Mesh, API Gateway, and Ingress Controllers

• Troubleshooting experience with kubectl, Azure CLI, networking tools

• Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-400, or CKA) are a plus
