Job Description
- As a Manager, Retail Demand Planner at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining accurate forecasts for retail products, optimizing inventory levels, and maximizing sales opportunities. You will collaborate with various departments to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Here are the key responsibilities for this role: - Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional plans, and competitor activity to forecast demand for products across all stores. - Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models using specialized software such as Blue Yonder & SAS, along with other analytical tools or excel. - Work closely with sales, marketing, and merchandising teams to understand upcoming promotions, new product launches, and other demand drivers. - Monitor forecast accuracy, investigate any discrepancies, and recommend adjustments based on new information and market trends. - Identify and analyze potential risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations. - Communicate demand forecasts and insights clearly to stakeholders across the organization. - Support the development and implementation of inventory management strategies. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in demand forecasting. Qualifications we seek in you: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's/masters degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field. - Relevant and proven experience in USA/North America Retail demand planning or a similar role. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in Planning & forecasting tools, with knowledge of Blue Yonder being an added advantage. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools like MS. Power Platform, Python. - Ability to lead a team and work independently. - Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
