Job Description
Our Client a 50 year old Chemical Company needs -
Post : Proposal Engineer
Location : Marol, Andheri E, Mumbai
Qualification : BE (Chemical/Environmental)
Experience : 3 years in water & Waste Water Treatment industry
Salary : 5 LPA with all benefits
Week off : Saturday / Sunday
Job Profile
The main tasks of the proposal engineer will be as follow -
- Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals along with detailed designing.
- Single handed preparation and design Process scheme.
- Respond to tenders, attending pre bid meeting, client meetings.
- Understanding of various water treatment processes and systems and its applications
- Able to prepare the P&ID. Layout, GA drawings with support of draftsman
- Standardization of process calculation design sheet
- Review in detail customer requests and tender documents and preform basic engineering design required to define the scope of the proposal
- Create Bill of material and Quotation of relevant system solutions
- Draft Commercial proposal and project costing sheet
- Create, maintain and update data base of components required to complete proposals
- Support in customer meetings, site surveys and other activities required to complete technical and commercial proposals
- Cooperate with the local sales, regional solution acquisition team and the regional project engineer to create a proposal that includes: basic engineering design, system architecture, process flow, value proposition and quotation.
- The Proposal Engineer will assist and work closely with regional Business Development Managers
- Participate in hand over meetings with Project Execution team
Required Skills
- Excellent Communication skills for interfacing with customers
- Good computing skills and knowledge of Excel and Word and preferably AutoCAD.
- Must be organized and able to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
Other Skills
- Equipment procurement
- Expertise in Team building and training
- Hands-on operations of water systems
- Project management software
- Project Control experience
