BTP ABAP Infrastructure Platforms is setting up a new Operations team in Bangalore location
Being the first team member in this team, you will have to work independently, coordinate well with global team in USA & Germany, and mentor future members of this team, As a BTP ABAP Environment Operations Engineer, you will ensure the performance and oversee the lifecycle management of ABAP Cloud systems, Your Responsibilities Will Include
Monitor and maintain ABAP Cloud systems health, availability, and performance across global tenants in SAPs cloud infrastructure, Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution in collaboration with SAP Cloud Operations and Development teams, As SPoC, lead and coordinate upgrade shift work on behalf of the team
Execute upgrades, patching, and lifecycle operations with minimal downtime and high automation, Manage tenant provisioning, deprovisioning, and rollback/PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) scenarios, Automate operational tasks using tools like Python, Jenkins, and SAP internal frameworks, Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of ABAP-based cloud applications, Promote operational excellence through documentation, mentoring, and process improvement, Work in US shift hours to support global operations and customer needs, What You Bring
Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, or technical roles; exposure to SAP environments is an added advantage, Proven skills in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management, Experience with automation and scripting tools (eg
, Python, Shell, Jenkins), Proficiency in Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and monitoring frameworks (eg
, Prometheus, Grafana), Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (eg
, Azure, AWS, GCP)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams, Good to have: Familiarity with SAP BTP ABAP Environment and Git-enabled lifecycle management
