Job Description
THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as a single point of contact for patients and their families during the hospital stay or OPD visit.
- Assist patients in understanding admission, discharge, billing, insurance, and other hospital processes.
- Provide information regarding bed charges, procedures, and estimated costs.
- Guide patients to the right departments, diagnostic areas, and wards ensuring smooth movement inside the hospital.
- Coordinate with clinical teams, nursing, billing, insurance, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
- Support patients with filling forms, signing undertakings, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Address queries, concerns, and grievances from patients/families and escalate when required.
- Maintain bed availability and allocation records, ensuring efficient utilization of hospital resources.
- Educate patients on hospital policies, safety protocols, and their rights/responsibilities.
- Conduct rounds in wards/OPD areas to check on patient comfort and feedback.
- Support the patient experience team in collecting and documenting patient satisfaction data.
- Ensure all services are delivered with empathy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
- Patient-centric approach with empathy and problem-solving ability.
- Good coordination and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of hospital workflows (admissions, billing, discharge, insurance).
- Proficiency in MS Office, HIS (Hospital Information Systems), and CRM tools.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
