Role will lead the planning, implementation, and management of the companys server infrastructure and IT systems to support high-performance trading platforms, regulatory compliance, and business scalability. This role requires deep technical expertise in low-latency infrastructure, server optimization, and regulatory standards applicable to capital markets.
Job Description
Define and implement the server and infrastructure strategy aligned with business growth, trading platform requirements, and regulatory mandates.
Plan and execute infrastructure modernization initiatives including data center upgrades, cloud adoption, and automation.
Collaborate with leadership and technology teams to align infrastructure capabilities with trading system performance objectives.
Oversee the design, deployment, and administration of physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux) supporting trading, market data, and back-office systems.
Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery infrastructure to ensure high availability and business continuity.
Ensure capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring of critical infrastructure.
Drive automation and scripting practices to increase operational efficiency.
Ensure all infrastructure meets SEBI, NSE, BSE, MCX, and other regulatory requirements for broking and trading operations.
Partner with information security teams to implement security baselines, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
Lead participation in infrastructure audits, DR drills, and regulatory inspections.
Ensure 24x7 availability of critical trading infrastructure with clearly defined SLAs and escalation mechanisms.
Establish ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Monitor infrastructure KPIs and provide regular reports to leadership on performance, uptime, and risk posture.
Lead and mentor a team of server administrators, infrastructure engineers, and data center staff.
Manage vendor relationships for hardware, storage, virtualization, and cloud services, including contract negotiations and service delivery governance.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance infrastructure performance and reduce latency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
1218 years of experience in IT infrastructure and server management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role preferably in a broking, trading, or capital markets environment.
Proven expertise in:
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SEBI, NSE/BSE requirements, ISO 27001, RBI guidelines).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and hybrid infrastructure.
