Position Summary
- Role: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Remote (Online)
- Employment Type: Contract
- Experience : 4 - 8 years
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Onboarding: Week of 10 November
- Availability Window: 5:30 PM 11:00 PM IST (Weekdays)
- Compensation: INR 75000 per month
Role Description
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to support the delivery of our Data Engineering program. The TA will work closely with the Lead Instructor to ensure smooth course operations, assist learners with technical and academic queries, and help maintain the learning infrastructure.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise in data engineering tools and platforms, coupled with a passion for mentoring and supporting learners in a virtual environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the instructor during live sessions and assist in facilitating effective learning
experiences.
- Ensure all learners are added to the appropriate GitHub teams and add repositories for
daily topics to the GitHub team with read-only access for learners.
- Assist students with queries related to exercises, assignments, and environment setup.
- Monitor learner participation and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Who are we looking for?
Education / Work Experience
a. A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT,
or other cognate discipline from reputable universities.
b. Min 3 years of industry experience working in similar roles (Data Engineer, Data
Analyst, etc.) at leading global organizations
c. Candidates must have some (if not all) of the following professional certifications-
i. AWS Cloud Practitioner
ii. AWS Data Engineer (Associate)
iii. AWS MLE
iv. AWS DevOps Engineer
d. Candidate must have experience with the following technologies -
Languages: Python, SQL, Bash
Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Cloud: AWS (primary)
Big Data: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem,Kafka
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (basics)
Orchestration: Airflow, dbt
Version Control: Git, GitHub
e. Relevant teaching assistant experience for professional courses would be required
