Job Description
Job Title: Deputy Manager / Manager - Medical Services
Location: Bangalore
Education: MBBS + MHA
Experience: 6-10 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee medical care delivery and clinical service quality across the unit.
- Ensure compliance with MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, and Radiation Safety regulations.
- Analyze departmental requirements for consultants and support tariff revisions.
- Evaluate retainer performance and optimize doctor costs.
- Coordinate medical advisory boards, departmental meetings, and various committees.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and recognition drives.
- Manage consultant requirements including recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing.
- Address patient concerns, medico-legal cases, and conduct mortality review meetings.
- Audit clinical billing codes and provide clinical input as required.
- Drive training, feedback, and performance management for the medical team.
- Recommend junior clinical staff to enhance departmental effectiveness.
- Initiate academic programs and ensure doctor training on safety and service excellence.
- Manage biomedical equipment budgets and oversee medical records digitization.
- Conduct awareness programs, service excellence initiatives, and clinical audits.
- Facilitate JCI/NABH accreditation processes, and manage media, government liaison, and budgeting for medical services.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations and hospital administration
- Understanding of medical compliance, accreditation standards, and medico-legal aspects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive quality assurance, safety initiatives, and cost optimization
- Competence in training, performance evaluation, and process improvement
