Job Description
The Associate - Patient Care will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to patients in a clinical setting. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure that patient needs are met and that they receive a positive healthcare experience. The associate will assist in various patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, recording health information, and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to the hospitals protocols and standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and physicians.
- Assist in daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support patient mobility and assistance with physical therapy when required.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in patient care areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide guidance and reassurance.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards of care. Skills and Tools Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficient in using healthcare-related software and electronic health record systems.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
