Job Description:
Manager-Medical Events will be responsible for organizing and overseeing medical events such as
conferences, workshops, skills training, awards functions, etc conducted by Medvarsity. This role is
part of the events vertical of Indias leading medical education firm.
You will be working on creating events that can have a great impact on the target audience. You will
be involved from start to finish of an event from the planning stage to execution stage.
The ideal candidate is someone with good experience in organizing events for the
healthcare/medical/pharma industry. Those with exceptional experience in organizing
events for other industries will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Work on an events calendar for the year in consultation with the business and
medical teams.
Plan the event end-to-end including the objectives, speakers, target audience,
location, requirements, budgets, pricing, etc
Work with the medical team to decide on Key opinion leaders to engage as speakers
Plan logistics and other requirements required for the event
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
Work with brand marketing and digital marketing teams to drive attendance to the
event
Prepare budgets and track expenses
Manage staff responsible for coordinating the event activities
Analyse the performance of the event and prepare metrics for presentation to the
management
Experience:
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in event management
Preferably experienced in managing medical/healthcare events/CMEs/Pharma
events
Knowledge of marketing methods needed for event management
Project management capabilities
Outstanding communication skills and negotiation capabilities
